The facility suffered from years of neglect, characterized by “obvious structural decay and a large amount of deferred maintenance, along with an open environmental case with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection.” It was clear that the marina required a complete transformation.
An exclamation point on years of rebuilding came at the 2025 Docks Expo – a leading marina industry conference produced by Marina Dock Age – where Meridian Marina won the “Building and Growing” award. For Austin Cameron, the founder of VIP Marinas, the project was defined by a single-minded goal: to navigate the property’s significant hurdles and preserve its legacy as a prestigious, high-performance marina. Rather than a quick renovation, Cameron and his partners committed to a long-term overhaul that would eventually set a new standard for elite boat storage on the Treasure Coast.

The service extends well beyond the mechanics of the boat, including making sure coolers are iced and stocked according to the owner’s preferences.
The “VIP” treatment continues long after you dock back at Meridian. When a boat returns to its slip, the owner simply hands over the keys and heads home.
